As a Christian counselor, I am very thankful for this book which made one strong point: humanistic opinions on change devised by atheistic and hellanistic men have no place in the church today! Instead of asking for God's direction through His Word and prayer, the church has opened itself to these ungodly views of man. There is now a disorder for every sin and for every sin there is a disorder. When will the Christian church realize the importance of the Holy Spirit instead of the educated counselor? "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ (Colossians 2:8)." This is a great read by a truly discerning man who left the Christian psychology movement and lets this wonderfully researched work tell you why. Please read this book if you are looking towards or are in any way involved with Christian counseling!! DavidGibso@aol.com from
