What Is Outcome-Based Education? Advocates claim OBE is designed to improve our children's education, but authors Luksik and Hoffecker expose the chilling truth: OBE is designed to change our children's values. The evidence is indisputable. Once OBE is implemented, students will be required to master both academic and non-academic "outcomes" before they will be allowed to advance. This means the state will define what is acceptable in terms of lifestyle, behavior, and beliefs - and our children will have to conform or they will fail. Drawing from official documents, true stories, and actual OBE curricula, the authors reveal the social aspects of this controversial education program. Don't be misled by OBE jargon. Discover for yourself why OBE has been called "cradle-to-grave" education reform. OBE practices test, monitor, and aim to alter the beliefs, attitudes and values of children, all pretty much without the knowledge or consent of the parents. What do questions like these have to do with education? #11. I have a close relationship with my father or mother. #34. I believe that tithing (giving 1/10 of one's earning to the church) is one's duty to God. #91. If I ask God for forgiveness, my sins are forgiven. They have nothing to do with education, yet are just a small sampling of the intrusion and control which public education, working under the government, is enacting on the American public. It gets much worse. Get the book and find out for yourself why OBE is an integral part of the government's aim to control and behaviorally engineer the American population.
